About Kangatraining

Kangatraining is the greatest way of post-natal recovery, abdominal and perineal muscles strenghtening and basic endurance developement, while you get to work out together with your best training partner: your baby.

Shape your whole body while bonding with your baby and meeting other mums and babies!

What is Kangatraining?

Kangatraining is Europe’s number one post-natal workout. A unique form of exercise for mums and a good program for babies.

During a Kangatraining class we focus on strenghtening the muscles weakened during pregnancy and childbirth especially the core and perineal muscles. Kangatraining is a complete workout that increases cardiovascular endurance, boosts stamina, improves flexibility and builds strength and muscle mass.

Why choose Kangatraining?

You don’t have to wait for your baby to fall asleep to start training and there’s no need to find a babysitter while you work out. With Kangatraining you can get back your health and strenght while your baby stays with you along the training.

When can you start?

You can begin Kangatraining when you have been given the ”all clear” after your 6 week check up. This can be 6-8 weeks after natural delivery or 10-12 weeks after c-section. The best to start at an early age as your strength will improve together with your baby’s growth. Although you can join the class with toddlers as well. There are plenty of toys and games to keep them occupied and they can also join us dancing.

What to expect?

Approximately 1.5 hours activity including floor workouts, pelvic floor exercises and babywearing dance and fitness routines. On the classes you can ask questions regarding post-natal training and healthy babywearing. We will discuss the theoretical basis of the recovery of the abdominal muscles and strenghtening the core muscles. During the class you will learn about working out with your baby in a safe way that protects your pelvic floor, and what exercises are recommended and which are not for a few months after giving birth.

What to bring with you?

Please wear comfortable gym clothes and dress your baby in loose pants, preferably not footed. Bring some drinking water and anything your baby needs: nappy, change of clothes.

The carriers are provided, you don’t have to bring your own. Altough you are welcome to bring your own carrier that I will assess if it’s suitable for the training.
